During my years studying abroad, friends often asked me,
“What’s the most iconic gift from Taiwan?”
Naturally, we would bring taiwanese oolong tea.

But when foreigners asked,
“What makes this tea special? How should I brew it?”
most people had no answer.

In that moment, I realized that we possess such a beautiful culture,
yet so few truly understand it.

And I thought to myself:
If no one is telling this story, then I will.

So I returned to Taiwan and chose the most challenging path that
to build a tea house high in the clouds,
at 2,400 meters above sea level in the misty peaks of Lishan.
I do not only just want to create a brand,

but also I want to create a starting point for young people to rediscover Taiwan.

We were born during the pandemic, 
a time when the world was forced to pause,
and I realized how long it had been
since we last allowed our hearts to slow down.

Amid the drifting clouds and quiet mountains,
Serenitea House (筑淨(jìng)茶苑) was born.
From the first wooden beams to the first aroma of tea rising in the air,
we kept asking ourselves:
Can Taiwan tea be spoken in a new language and make the world can feel?

Today, that dream is unfolding.
From social media buzz to international features,
and travelers from across the world making the journey up the mountain,
we’ve proven that 
when you are genuine, the world listens.

“Serenitea” comes from the idea of building serenity within the mountains 
A place where one can hear their own breath again,
and reconnect with the rhythm of nature and tea.
