Characteristic
Combining Eastern longan with Western gin, this spirit is crafted using a method similar to sloe gin. A rice-based spirit is first infused with juniper berries and longan, then distilled. It is then macerated with kiln-roasted longan, filtered, and blended to a final bottling strength of 43%. The resulting spirit has a reddish-brown hue, with kiln-fired and smoky aromas harmoniously integrated with the character of gin.<br/><br/>On the nose, it opens with the toasty, smoky aroma of longan. The palate is smooth and mellow, with the sweetness and fragrance of longan at the forefront, followed by a rich, lingering smokiness on the finish. The long, captivating aftertaste makes it a uniquely Taiwanese expression of gin.
