Exhibitor Profile
Since 1983, Jiugong has collaborated with tea farmer Li Tiangui to research tea varieties and cultivation. At that time, Taiwan was experiencing a flourishing tea culture. To promote Chinese culture, Jiugong opened its first teahouse, “Longmen,” in Taipei in 1983. In 1985, the teahouse was renamed “Shilipo” and relocated to Siwei Road, where it introduced charcoal-roasted aged teas, “Changsheng Dan” and “Bulao Dan.” Due to their unique flavor and health benefits, these teas were highly favored by overseas customers. In 1989, as tea-drinking became increasingly popular, Jiugong opened its second teahouse, “Caizhu,” which operated 24 hours a day and enjoyed booming business. In 1990, a third branch, “Laoye Teahouse,” was launched, along with Chinese cultural lectures that added cultural depth and distinction to the teahouse experience.
