Exhibitor Profile
Starting in 1879, Mr. Zhou Zuruo took charge of the entire process from planting, harvesting, to tea production. The craft was passed down to the sixth generation, Mr. Zhou Qingzong, who perfected the tea-making techniques, winning dozens of awards in national tea production competitions. He also passed on a century of tea-making experience to the seventh-generation successor, Mr. Zhou Pingguo. Seventh-Generation Operations Mr. Zhou Pingguo assisted his father with planting, harvesting, and tea production from a young age and won a tea production award before the age of 30. In 1998 (Year 87 of the Republic), he established the "Ri Sheng Tea" company and began diversifying its business to offer consumers more choices, including Biluochun, black tea, and white tea. He also cultivated Taiwan's only tea varieties, Dahongpao and Yiye Tea, while personally traveling to tea-growing regions such as Shanlinxi, Alishan, Lishan, and Dayuling to produce tea.
