Designed in Tsubame, Niigata — Japan’s renowned center of metal craftsmanship — this series of double-walled stainless steel cups embodies the spirit of Japanese artisanship, where meticulous attention to detail and uncompromising quality meet. Crafted from 18-8 stainless steel, the double-walled structure provides excellent thermal insulation, keeping beverages at the ideal temperature for longer. The exterior remains cool to the touch, free from condensation, ensuring a refined and comfortable drinking experience. More than just a cup, it is a harmonious fusion of metalwork and lacquer artistry. Each piece in the collection showcases a distinct lacquer technique and expression. Kagerou features the Mon Urushi technique, beginning with a black and gold base layer applied to the stainless steel surface. The lacquer is then tapped and layered by hand, creating a rugged yet sophisticated texture. The subtle unevenness of the surface reflects light in rich gradations, offering a tactile and deeply expressive finish. Hinowa uses a warm vermilion base enriched with a yellow hue, finished with the Hake-menuri brushstroke technique. The flowing brush lines create elegant, rhythmic patterns, blending vivid color with soft hand-finished lacquer for a warm and graceful impression that reflects traditional craftsmanship. Tsukiawase employs fine Kanazawa gold leaf as its foundation, finished with the Fuki-urushi wiping technique to reveal its natural, luxurious glow.
