After abruptly retiring from the supercar industry, Lamborghini shifted his spirit and passion to wine, teaming up with Giorgio Grai, the father of modern Italian winemaker, and Riccardo Cotarella, who has been hailed as the world's most influential fermentation master by Gambero Rosso, Italy's best winemaker, wine enthusiasts, and even Robert Parker. Founded in 1975, the Lamborghini winery is located on the border of Umbria and Tuscany. The vineyard encompasses 38 hectares, primarily planted with Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Glera, and Grechetto varieties, cultivated on clay, loam, and limestone soils.
