Characteristic
Lactobacillus rhamnosus L8020 is a premium strain for oral health. Professor Nikawa of Hiroshima University isolated strains of bacteria that are different from those of ordinary people from the mouths of many people who have no experience of tooth decay. These strains were used to study whether they have antibacterial effects on periodontal disease pathogens (Porphyromonas gingivals), tooth decay pathogens (Streptoccus mutans) and oral infection pathogens (Candida albicans). Among them, a strain was found to have significant antibacterial effects against these three pathogens. After RNA sequencing analysis, the strain was classified as Lactobacillus rhamnosus and named L8020 in accordance with the 8020 movement advocated by the Japanese Dental Association (meaning: still have at least 20 teeth at the age of 80).
There are many application cases in Japan. In addition to common toothpaste and mouthwash, you can see an entire wall of L8020 pet food and spray in pet shops. As the average age increases, oral problems are receiving more attention. You are welcome to consider using Lactobacillus rhamnosus L8020 to make distinctive products.
