Dr. Fang-Chen Kao, born and raised in a rural town in Kaohsiung Taiwan, developed a resilient and practical mindset. Holding dual doctoral and master's degrees, she once worked for a leading optics company. Driven by her passion and vision, she transitioned to the biomedical field to explore the fusion of science and aesthetics. After returning to Taiwan from Japan in 2019, she devoted herself to regenerative medicine and founded TOMO YUME in 2024, focusing on biomedical technology and its extended applications in animal care. Despite coming from a family of renowned entrepreneurs, Dr. Kao chose to start her own business independently. Drawing on her professional and industrial expertise, she leads her team in bridging academia and industry, emphasizing innovation and quality, and embodying compassion for life through her products.

From People to Pets: Extending the Spirit of Care
TOMO YUME initially focused on skincare for humans. Inspired by Dr. Kao’s own experiences as a pet owner, the team identified a gap in pet wellness care. As a result, they began applying advanced biotechnology to develop gentle, easy-to-use products specifically for pets. Dr. Kao stated, “We began with exosome-based care and plan to expand into clinical applications in the future—continuing to offer more choices for both humans and animals through science.”
